First we will train you up on how Bookkeeping Express (BKE) and our application BKE Insight make a big difference in our clients lives and how we deliver thousands of clients books. Then we will train you on how BKE delivers bookkeeping services to our clients and how we learn new applications that our clients use. Finally, you will learn how to set and update workflow schedules within BKE Insight to maximize efficiency.  You’ll then take that knowledge and apply it alongside our team of staff accountants and bookkeepers -- to help deliver our clients financial reports.

Details about the Role:

BKE is on a growth path and we are we’re looking to expand adding on an Operations and Delivery Manager with high integrity and a commitment to raising the standard of excellence both for themselves, our clients and BKE.  As we are in high growth mode, this role will be primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining work flow schedules in BKE Insight to optimize delivery to our clients. You will incorporate new client workflow into existing schedules and make adjustments for client delinquency.

This role requires an analytical attitude as well as the ability to keep quickly think through client details while adjusting schedules.  This role also requires knowledge of the accounting/bookkeeping industry. It’s a plus if they have some existing product knowledge of either Xero or Quickbooks Online (or both)!

In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and analyzing labor/delivery costs by individual and industry in order to relay improvement suggestions to BKE management. You will also be responsible for identifying out of bounds costs as they occur and applying control mechanisms to limit uncontrollable costs.

You will also provide recommendations around how we can continue to improve delivery  to our operations and solution teams.  

This role  will be reporting to the Head of Operations, while working closely with the delivery team and solution team.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Manage workflow of team to ensure timely completion of bookkeeping tasks/jobs and final deliverables, to include maintaining an updated delivery status for all BKE clients

  • Identify and resolve micro-logistics trends within BKE delivery procedures

  • Escalate delivery related issues to management for resolution

  • Work directly with delivery team to set and maintain delivery schedules for new and existing clients

  • Maintain, update, and manage schedule related data inside workflow system

  • Work with Training Lead to optimize usage of workflow tools within Operations

  • Drive production-related policies, procedures, plans and efficiency goals

  • Continue to create a positive and effective culture that fosters efficiency through proper techniques for the Delivery team

  • Collaborate with Director of Operations in order to achieve company and department goals and initiatives

  • Establish, support and drive good ‘manufacturing' practices and process improvements

  • Act as Delivery Team member as needed to ‘backfill’ bookkeeping output gaps and bottlenecks

Job requirements:

  • 2+ years' related experience and knowledge

  • 4 year degree in Business Administration or related field

  • Strong communication skills

  • People skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties

  • Technical attitude to learn and figure it out

  • Analytical problem solving skills to resolve issues

  • Passion to drive success for our delivery
